In 1986, on the set of antenna 2, the French actor Vincent Lindon took his first steps on television.
Winner of the male interpretation prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015 for its overwhelming role in the law of the market (which also earned it the César for best actor), Vincent Lindon is one of the essential figures of current French cinema.
A committed actor, invested in each of his characters as well as in the causes he defends, he is often unanimous with the profession, criticism and the public. Recently seen in Xavier Giannoli's money and blood series, he also distinguished himself – during his rich filmography – in films like the crisis, my little business, at war or Welcome.
“I'm sure you are going to make many others”
But let's go back a little time to return to the early years of his career. Having already some roles to his credit, in the process of accessing his notoriety today, it was in 1986 that Vincent Lindon was racing his very first television set (in an archive video published on the excellent channel of INA).
Coming to evoke the outings of Yiddish Connection (by Paul Boujenah) and Escort Girl (of Bob Swaim), he also mentioned the start of his course on antenna 2, and the way in which he had discovered the acting profession.
“He's a young Frenchman, it's the little girl who goes up, we can say. (…) I think it's the first time you have made a TV like that. Do you get used to it because I'm sure you are going to do many others “began by declaring the journalist, visionary, before asking Vincent Lindon how he had come to make cinema.

“I have wanted to do this for a long time”
A little intimidated by his first television appearance, but already with a real presence on the screen, the budding actor told the beginning of his story:
“It has been a long time since I wanted to do that, but I was a little afraid of throwing myself into the water, and then it always happens like that, it is a coincidence, a friend who meets you … In my case, it happened very simply. One day, I had an afternoon in front of me and I was in a dramatic art class to ask how much it was to register. And as the price did not matter to me, go.”
Vincent Lindon then told his meeting with Paul Boujenah, the first director to have trusted him:
“And slowly, I enjoyed playing and making little scenes with friends. And one day, a director called Paul Boujenah passed through the corridors of the course. He was looking for Francis Huster, he asked me where he could find Francis and (…) As I am overflowing with enthusiasm and that as soon as there is a stupidity to do I do it, I told her 'but you are not Elie Chouraqui?' It made him laugh and he summoned me to take tests, and I was caught for the hawk. “
