Yellowstone: The end of the series was announced in season 1 by this character, but no one listened to it! – News series

Yellowstone's finale was broadcast last December. The departure of Kevin Costner certainly precipitated the program cessation, but the initially planned end was nevertheless kept by the screenwriter Taylor Sheridan. The adventures of the Dutton will however extend in spin-offs centered on Kayce (entitled Y: Marshals) and that on Beth and Rip.

The Dutton had to make a difficult choice at the end of Yellowstone

The last season of Yellowstone ends with the death of the Patriarch John Dutton, and the sale of the family ranch. The Dutton had no truth, since the company's revenues were insufficient to pay the charges and the heavy taxes. The sale was therefore the only solution to ensure that the domain was not entered by the bailiffs.

But all of this could have been avoided if the Dutton had listened to Jamie (Wes Bentley). The villain of the family was one of the main antagonists in the series. His ill -treatment by other members of his family pushed him to take his independence by betraying his own several times.

Yellowstone's bloody end could have been avoided!

From the first season, Jamie prophesied the economic situation which threatens the future of the ranch. He presented very convincing arguments to John Dutton, but the latter did not listen to him. Admittedly, it was a safe bet that Jamie's priority was not the preservation of the ranch, but above all his own interests.

The fact remains that he was right in the background, and the others Dutton were wrong not to listen to him. Better agreement would surely have made it possible to find a solution, and to ensure the prosperity of the ranch on several additional generations.

Instead, the lands had to be ceded and the Dutton gave themselves a merciless war on the death of John, killed by Jamie partners, then by the latter's death from Beth.
