“We were put aside”: David Lim breaks the silence after being excluded from the Swat – News Series on TV spin -off

This flagship actor in the series returns to the announcement of the spin-off of the Swat series entitled Exiles and it is not delighted!

These are the roller coaster for Swat fans! After crying for the cancellation of their favorite series, the last episode of which was broadcast on May 16, they learned in the process that a spin-off was already in preparation. Entitled Exiles, he will follow the adventures of Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson thus allowing Shemar Moore to resume his role.

Yes, but here it is, it is the only actor in the original series who will be in the game. All the others were, in fact, thanked after eight years of good and loyal service. A shock for most of them, but also for viewers who did not wait a second to attack the star of the series, Shemar Moore who continues the adventure.

“I'm not going to apologize for anything”

However, the actor refused to justify himself, thus revealing on his Instagram account that he would not ask for forgiveness: “I am the quarterback of the series. It is not arrogance. It is not ego, it is a fact (…) I am proud, I am grateful, and I will not apologize for anything. I worked like a hardy for 31 years to get there, and I am excited for the future.”

However, it is not easy for the original cast and in particular for David Lim, who embodied the role of Victor Tan since 2017. He also expressed himself in a long publication on social networks: “I am proud of the way we fought for a ninth season.”

“We believed that we still had things to offer, still stories to tell. We wanted it for our team, each other, and for the new faces that had just joined us. It was not for all of us – and that's how it was. We lived a magical adventure and finished in style with these last two episodes.”

“Not a word for the members of the cast who helped build Swat”

“I would lie if I said that the announcement of the new spin-off did not injure me. It was hard to see it barely announced two days after our final-without a word for the members of the cast who helped build Swat since the first day” confides the actor with emotion before continuing:

“After eight incredible seasons, it was felt to be put aside, when there could have been a moment of reflection and recognition – for those who built this series, and for the impact she had on so many people.”

Confidences that should hurt his fans! But he concluded by thanking viewers. Who knows? Maybe David Lim will one day make its appearance in the spin-off of Swat !
