After making the spicy comedy Sausage Party, Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon (to whom we also owe Shrek 2) tackled another much less erotic, even completely morbid register: adaptation to animated film of the Addams family.
After a first part which exceeded one million admissions in France, the filmmakers made a suite: the Addams 2 family: a trip of hell. Released in 2021, this new adventure, a bit offbeat, features a Gomez and a Dead exceeded in front of their two children who grew well.
To try to reconnect family ties, they decide to board Wednesday, Pugsley, the fetid uncle, and all the joyful band in their haunted motorhome and to hit the road for their last sad family vacation. But what could end badly?
The least we can say is that the production of this new animated film has not completely gone as planned. The reason? The team had to adapt to the pandemic of Cavid-19. Fortunately, the directors were able to count on a quality staff …
Kev Adams and Charlize Theron embody a morbid couple

Indeed, it is indeed Kev Adams and Charlize Theron who lend their voices to the most macabre couple in cinema. Moreover, their collaboration even started on the first part of the Addams family.
Just like Kev Adams,, Charlize Theron loved to slip into the skin of the dismal and sulfurous dead: “The characters are authentic and do not apologize for what they are. They take care of each other and I think that this sense of family love, family engagement, family confidence is something that, in the context of their bizarre world, their wacky, dark and macabre universe, is something really beautiful to look“.
In the original version of The Addams 2 family: a trip of hellthe extravagant Wednesday Addams is doubled by Chloë Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), his brother Pugsley by Javon “Wanna” Walton (The Umbrella Academy), while the fetid uncle is embodied by Nick Kroll, an artist who is used to lending his voice to cartoons. An eclectic cast!
