The time is for reunion in Tomorrow belongs to us!
After a year and a half of absence, Alice Varela, the interpreter of Judith Delcourt, signed her comeback in the daily soap opera of TF1 this Friday, June 13. A return widely awaited by the faithful of the series who will finally see the Delcourt family almost reunited in full.
If Judith returns to Sète, it is mainly to be alongside his family. Indeed, Alex (Alexandre Brasseur) is about to be operated on from a brain tumor. What to announce a period full of emotions for the Delcourt clan.
But what does this return really hold? What challenges will Judith face in the next episodes? Alice Varela confided in the microphone of Allociné on the return of her character and on what awaits viewers in the coming weeks.
Allociné: After leaving the series in December 2023, you will soon make your comeback in Tomorrow belongs to us. Did you anticipate this return or been a surprise for you too?
Alice Varela : It was not at all planned. I was really gone on other things so it was totally a surprise. The producer contacted me in February to tell me that he would need me for a plot around Alex's operation. I accepted because the plot seemed essential to me. In addition, for a return from Judith, I found it interesting to come back at that time. I had never closed the door to a possible return but I had not necessarily prepared myself for it for immediately.
Why is Judith returning to Sète?
Alex is sick. Marianne (Luce Mouchel) will organize a surprise for him and will call Judith in the back of her parents to warn her of Alex's health. Judith therefore arrives by surprise to be with his father in this event. Everyone is very happy that she is there. It is a family meeting since there is also Michaël (Malik Zidi), Octave (Louis Durant) and Mia (Yaël Ciancilla). We all think very hard of Maxime (Clément Rémiens) who works in San Francisco and who could not free himself on his side. On this occasion, Judith will find her family but also his best friend Noor (Sahelle de Figueiredo) who will be there to support him in this test. As she works in the hospital, she will give her news and reassure her.
Judith returns after a year and a half of absence. How did she evolve? Are we going to discover a new facet of her?
She is still very changed. It is no longer Judith with pink hair or the rebellious child of four years ago. It was a young adult who took her independence. She comes back much more mature and sure of herself. She is always very close to her family, that does not change, however. She was already very close to her mother and grandmother but there, there is a little extra thing. She will talk about her sentimental life with her grandmother for example. It is also always very active, very energetic and always full of life.
How will Chloé and Alex react when he saw her? I imagine it will be reunion loaded with emotion?
What I can tell you is that these are very hard scenes because they are shot in the hospital. It is both emotion linked to the surprise of Judith's return, and at the same time under these conditions it is not easy. Judith will provide them with a lot of emotional support. They will all be very united in this test. It's going to be hard moments for the whole family.
How was your recovery on the set after a year and a half of absence? Did you find your brands right away?
I was very stressed because I wanted to come back without disappointing anyone. As the authors wrote to me a super intrigue, I really wanted to be up to this return. My first scenes were great because I was with Sahelle, Luce and Maxime. These are my friends so everything went very well. I quickly found my marks. It was like going home.
Do you have other projects outside of Tomorrow belongs to us that you can talk about?
Before my return, I made a short film for the Nikon Film Festival which is called “Over time”. I also compose my music on the piano. On the fiction side, I filmed in the Appointments series for France 2.
