Threatened, one of the most famous sagas in the world could finally return thanks to this good news

Big news for fans of “SAW”! After an eleventh abandoned film, the saga could ultimately be bought by a big name for horror in Hollywood.

It has been several months since fans of the SAW saga were left without news of the eleventh opus, Saw XI, yet announced for September 26 in the United States. For creative disagreements, the project had been put on pause and the release date withdrawn from the Lionsgate studio calendar.

The media Deadline Reveals major information for the future of the horrific franchise: SAW rights, which belong to Twisted Pictures, will soon be in the hands of Blumhouse, the production company specializing in low -budget horror films – but with big success.

Blumhouse, the horror giant

Blumhouse has become an essential company in the American cinema industry. We owe them, among others, Get Out, Insidious, Paranormal Activity, Five Nights at Freddy's, Black Phone or M3gan.

Deadline specifies that the Lionsgate studio will be a fellowship of rights up to 50%. This acquisition opens up many possibilities for the future with potential suites and even spins-off around the Saw universe.

Tobin Bell Back?

It is still too early to know if the plans for Saw XI will be maintained and if Tobin Bell, an emblematic figure of the saga, will be back in lines of the terrifying and sadistic Jigsaw.

In an interview for Los Angeles Timespublished in October 2024, the actor revealed that there were still many things to learn about his character in John Kramer.
