This western series noted 3.6 out of 5 is renewed by Netflix for a season 2

Netflix subscribers will soon be able to return to Ransom Canyon. The Western series has just been renewed by the platform for a season 2, more than two months after its launch on April 17. The first season brought together Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly in the main roles, as well as the legendary James Brolin.

New life to Ransom Canyon is the adaptation of Jodi Thomas' BestSellers novels. We follow the adventures of the inhabitants of a small fictitious town in Texas, determined to protect their lifestyle and their traditions in front of the outside world. Josh Duhamel plays an old benchmark cowboy, while Minka Kelly lends her features to her youthful love.

Season 2 should arrive very quickly on Netflix

The series is often compared to Yellowstone for its Western atmosphere, but many believe that it looks more like Virgin River for its rose water tone. Not surprisingly, the program had met with great success when it was put online, without being able to obtain first place in the ranking of the most seen series each week on Netflix.

This renewal seemed to be long scheduled, since the writing of the scripts of season 2 has already started. A film date next September is also mentioned, therefore, considering a return of the series next year. Seven seasons could be created, provided that a season is devoted to each of the seven volumes of the literary saga.
