This science fiction series noted 3.8 out of 5 is renewed for a season 5 … and it will be the last! – News series

This “Star Trek” series much appreciated by fans will end at the end of its fifth season, a feat that had not managed to accomplish the original program!

All good things have an end, and Strange New Worlds is no exception to this rule. The Star Trek series will end at the end of its fifth season, which leaves fans a lot of time to say goodbye to the program since its season 3 will not be broadcast until July 17.

It is directly linked to two other Star Trek series

Strange New Worlds is both a spin -off of season 2 of Star Trek Discovery, but also a prequel of the 1966 Star Trek series. The program traces the youth of the emblematic heroes of the saga – Spock, the (future) Captain Kirk, Uhura, Scotty … – and imagine wacky and breathless adventures in strange and unknown worlds.

With five seasons, Strange New Worlds will therefore succeed where the original series had failed. Star Trek presented itself as the account of a five -year mission, but barely three seasons had emerged due to the bad hearings of the program in the late 1960s.

What is the longest star trek series?

It is only over time and according to the reruns that Star Trek has become popular. After ten years of absence on the screens, the saga made its comeback in 1979 not on television, but in the cinema with Star Trek: the film. Many other feature films have since emerged, but also a dozen derivative series.

Note that with five seasons, Strange New Worlds will not be the longest Star Trek series. Discovery also has five seasons, and the three key series of the 90s – the new generation, Deep Space Nine, travel – each have seven seasons. In almost 60 years, more than 800 episodes have been produced by counting all the Star Trek series!

Star Trek season 3: Strange New Worlds can be found on July 17 exclusively on Paramount+.
