“One of the most intense war films that I have ever seen”, “a film that takes an overwhelming, relentless and absolutely devastating look at modern war”, “the film smashes you … and never lets you go to the credits” … such were the American criticisms of this intense war film.

Released in the cinema in the United States thanks to the A24 distributor, this impressive and intense feature film will not be entitled to the same treatment in France since it has just landed directly on Prime Video, like other films rented by criticism, such as the names at the American Fiction Oscars and Nickel Boys.

We owe this war film to Alex Garland, including 28 years later, the third part of the zombie trilogy which he oversees with Danny Boyle will soon be released in the cinema. The director of ex Machina joined Ray Mendoza, with that he has already worked on his previous War civil war film.

An impressive war film in real time

The duo co -wrote and co -produced this new war film, inspired by the life of Ray Mendoza, former member of the US Navy Seal during the Iraq war. Warfare traces the meeting fight that his peloton and lived on November 19, 2006, the day after the Ramadi battle.

Inspired by real facts, Warfare is not content to bring back a appalling war story, he immerses you in the heart of the horror experienced by the soldiers and by the civilians taken hostage and besieged in their home.

The film by Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza focuses on two sections of Navy Seals, trapped and mortally injured by enemy attacks, which are trying to get out of the building that they have taken by storm and which could at any time become their tomb.
