After leaving “NCIS”, Michael Weatherly was the star of his own series. And even if this adventure lasted six seasons, he could never really make Dinozzo forget …
Thanks to NCIS, we can say that Michael Weatherly will have had a constant career by interpreting the character of Anthony Dinozzo. This New York native first started to make himself known by winning one of the main roles of Dark Angel with Jessica Alba. But it was in 2003 that he obtained the decisive role of Dinozzo who propelled him under the spotlight and made a television star. But the adventure ended (or almost!) In 2015 when he left the series in the finale of season 13.
Bull: a new adventure for Michael Weatherly
Weatherly soon finds a new role and this time, he is the one who holds the poster. With Bull, launched in 2016, he plays Jason Bull presented as a brilliant psychologist but who is also charming and presumptuous. Because this very sure man has developed a system which makes it possible to predict, even to influence the decision of a jury during a trial.
Of course, he is not alone in his business. Bull is surrounded by a shock team made up of a former prosecutor who has become a defense lawyer (in general, it is rather the opposite), a neurolinguistic expert, a former FBI agent, a professional hacker and a seasoned stylist. A shock team, we tell you!
Scheduled following NCIS on the CBS channel, Bull meets success and lasts six seasons! A great performance at a time when streaming series dominate the market and when network series no longer have the aura of yesteryear.

CBS
Bull, weaker than Dinozzo!
However, even if Bull was successful, Michael Weatherly has never completely managed to make the character of Dinozzo forget. The controversy around the actor's behavior with her co-star of the first season, Eliza Dushku, victim of her harassment and then dismissed after her advances may have tarnished the image of the series (but obviously not the actor). After mediation, CBS agreed to pay $ 9.5 million to the actress, reminds us Hello magazine.
In terms of audiences, we note the big gap between the first episode of the first season which brought together 15.56 million viewers in the United States and more than 3.74 million viewers for the penultimate episode of the series. Bull was bowing in 2022 via the small door … and Michael Weatherly soon returned to his first love since we learned in March 2024 that a new spin-off of the franchise would be born: NCIS: Tony & Ziva with Pablo coast.
Nevertheless, if you want to see Michael Weatherly in a different role than that of Dinozzo, you can catch up with the six seasons of Bull until June 13 on Prime Video.
