Be careful however, that does not mean that season 5 of The Boys will be released in a few months. This series requires many months of post-production, due to the importance of special effects.
And if we trust it at the interval between the end of the shooting of season 4 and the broadcasting of the episodes, we could well wait a year or more to discover season 5 of The Boys, which would lead to a broadcast in the summer of 2026 on Prime Video.
First information on season 5 of “The Boys”
Fans will be delighted to know that the fifth and last season of the series will host familiar faces! A large meeting of supernatural stars, the previous series of Eric Kripke, is expected since season 5 will indeed welcome Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who camped Sam Winchester and Castiel respectively in Supernatural.
The two actors will thus find other former companions such as Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester), which is already part of the distribution of The Boys as Soldier Boy, and Jeffrey Dean (John Winchester), who camps Joe Kessler in The Boys.
Eric Kripke has already called upon other supernatural alumni for The Boys such as Jim Beaver, who plays the Secretary of State Robert Singer, Rob Benedict, who embodied Splinter for an episode and Christian Keyes, who camps Nathan Franklin, the brother of A-Rain.
The showrunner had already unveiled the title of the first episode last year, “Fifteen Insches of Sheer Dynamite”, posting a photo of the script on X (ex-Twitter).
Last year, Eric Kripke had already announced the color for this season 5 by declaring to Deadline that“There will probably be a lot of deaths” and that“There is no guarantee that will survive or not”.
More recently, the showrunner has confirmed to Los Angeles Times that the series was not going to hold its blows to the Trump administration and that the episodes will reflect the political tensions that have shaken the United States since the president's second term.
“There are things happening in the country where I live that touch me”he explained, “This reflects what we see and what scuttles the writers. What we discovered very early on the superheroes in this world is this interesting intersection between fascism and celebrity. It is a unique and yet very current idea, not only in the United States, but everywhere in the world: how people use the power of fame to promote authoritarian ideas.”
The first four seasons of “The Boys” are available on Prime Video.
