Who is Charles Krantz, nicknamed Chuck? It is the first mystery that opens this film directed by Mike Flanagan. Presented as a simple accountant, the name of this man is traced in the sky by an aircraft and his face appears on posters as the following inscription: “39 beautiful years! Thank you Chuck!“”
Through three chapters, spectators will discover the life of the so -called Chuck (Tom Hiddleston), from adulthood to his childhood. The film, adapted from a short story by Stephen King published in the collection if it bleeds in 2020, is a universal fable on life, its rejoicings and its sadness.
Public Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024, Life of Chuck received praise for American and even French criticism. We owe him notably Jessie on Netflix, Doctor Sleep – the sequel to Shining – and soon the Carrie series.
