New series of the moment on Netflix, “Olympo” is number 1 on the platform. What to understand from the end of Spanish fiction? Attention, spoilers.

Number 1 on Netflix, Olympo is a new Spanish series in the elite vein. Created by Jan Matheu Montserrat, Laia Foguet and Ibai Abad, this fiction in 8 episodes is counting on a young charismatic cast, sensual scenes and many twists and turns.
Olympo is centered on the best athletes in the country who train in the center of high performance in the Pyrenees, such as Amaia, the captain of the national synchronized swimming team which requires only the best of itself and allows no error.
But when her teammate and best friend Núria surpasses her for the first time, Amaia realizes that some athletes inexplicably improve their performances … After years pushing their bodies to the limit and sacrificing their life for sport, they are confronted with a dilemma: how far are they ready to go?

How does season 1 end “Olympo”?
After numerous twists and turns, made of discoveries, betrayals and unexpected alliances, Amaia finally discovers the truth: several athletes from the High Performance Center of the Pirineos Pirineos have well received doping products.
But the center is not the only one implicated. The Olympo sponsor is also wick and it tests a particular product, undetectable by conventional controls, on promising hopes. This practice threatens to destroy the competition sport forever.
Amaia understands that his best friend Nuria has benefited. Even if Amaia tries to denounce the center and the Olympo sports organization to the anti -doping administration in order to carry out blood tests, it is pushed into its entrenchments by Nuria.

In the final episode of Olympo, Amaia, Roque, Cristian and Zoe, disappointed by Olympo and their doping and manipulation practices, want to take revenge on the sponsor and burst the truth, especially since Zoe managed to steal a vial of the product that improves the performance of athletes.
They are looking for Amaia, who was right from the start on the practices of the center and Olympo. But she finally landed alongside Nuria for the synchronized swimming competition to determine the duo that will participate in the Worlds. Roque, Cristian and Zoe do not understand the intentions of Amaia.

Amaia and Nuria deliver an impressive performance, including one of the extremely difficult pirouettes to achieve, which could well lead them to the Olympic Games. It is then understood that Amaia took doping product to improve her performance and thus touch his dream of gold medal alongside Nuria.
Amaia gave in to Olympo and abandoned her fight, taking drugs to reach perfection. But after their passage, Amaia feels dizziness and collapses in the pool.
This accident, which rings the end of season 1 of Olympo, will have very much of heavy consequences for the sponsor and the center, in the heart of controversies. Especially since Zoe gave the doping product vial that it stole from the anti-doping control administration.
If at first glance, one might think that Amaia gave in to pressure to be the best, one can also wonder if she did not expect, with this act of despair, highlight the practices of Olympo?
Did she do it on purpose knowing that she would unwell in order to update the practices of Olympo before witnesses so that in-depth anti-doping tests are carried out?
It will take a second season to know the real intentions of Amaia. For the moment, Netflix has not announced a second salvo of episodes for the Spanish series, but given its success, it would not be surprising that it obtained a second season.
