The attack on killer tomatoes is reborn with a fifth film, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence (or the attack of killer tomatoes: organic intelligence in French), by director David Ferino. As Deadline announced, the new film is presented as “A confrontation between the eternal power of nature and the most brilliant geniuses of AI”.

The original film was released in 1978. Directed for 100,000 dollars, it was produced by J. Stephen Peace and John de Bello. De Bello made the film from an original idea by Costa Dillon. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence will stage a string of actors, including David Koechner (the featured presenter franchise) in the role of the American president's press secretary, and John Astin (Gomez of the series The Addams family) who will resume his role from Professor Nicholas Mortimer Gangreen which he interpreted in the previous films of the franchise and in the animated series of Fox.
