Large British Director Tout-à-Tout, Ridley Scott continues to have projects full. For his next adventure, he would like to venture to the western and claims to have the perfect script.
At 87, Ridley Scott remains tireless. The director, author of some of the greatest classics of Hollywood cinema – Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise or Gladiator, to name a few – seems to have tried everything. Well almost. For his next project, the filmmaker would like to venture to the western.
A script written by a deceased author
In an interview with Colliderthe British director indicates that he even has a ready scenario:
“”So I have a western, the best western I have ever read. He was on the shelf of a deceased author. He comes from his succession. We followed him closely and I finally bought the rights. So I have this scenario and the moment will come to realize it. “
During his interview, Ridley Scott refused to reveal the title for fear that another director is ahead of it. He also reveals wanting to make a musical and a pirate film.
What is Ridley Scott's next film?
Currently, Ridley Scott is shooting a new science fiction film, The Dog Stars, with Jacob Elardi, Margaret Qualley and Josh Brolin.
The synopsis presents itself as follows: “In the near future where an unnamed pandemic decimated the American company, HIG, a pilot lives on an abandoned air base in Colorado with his dog and an ex-marine. When a random transmission goes through the radio of its Cessna 1956, the voice gives birth to the pilot deeply hope that a better life exists outside their closely controlled perimeter …“”
While waiting for the western of Ridley Scott, The Dog Stars will be released in the cinema on March 25, 2026.
