Since the HBO Max platform has announced to develop an adapted series of JK Rowling novels, each announcement reacts enormously on social networks. So, the platform makes the suspense last by revealing the casting of its new Harry Potter in the drop.

After revealing the names and faces of those who will camp the new Harry, Hermione and Ron, this time it is the performers of the Malfoy, Dursley and other less central characters who were revealed:

A rejuvenated cast!

The big pumps for HBO Max have said it since the start: the Harry Potter series will be much more faithful to the books than the movies were. As a result, the actors who were cast are much younger and this may destabilize those who discovered the small wizard on the big screen.

For example, Bel Powley (The Diary of A Teenage Girl) and Daniel Rigby (Black Mirror), who will play Petunia and Vernon are respectively 33 and 42 years old today. In addition, the studios have not yet revealed the one who will play their son, Dudley.

Katherine Parkinson, seen in Sherlock, will perform Molly Weasley. The young Lox Pratt won his first role thanks to the Harry Potter series and not just any: the young blonde head will lend her features to Draco Malfoy. Finally, it is the sympathetic Johnny Flynn who will play his father, Lucius Malefoy. And it is hard to imagine the actor of Lovesick in the role of a Death Eaver…

If for the moment, we do not yet be able to project again into the world of this Harry Potter series, we are waiting for the first photos of the actors in costume to make a first opinion. The shooting is scheduled this summer in the Leavesden studios, near London. The latter had also welcomed the production of feature films between 2000 and 2010.
