Matthew Goode is playing with the new successful thriller of Netflix, “Forgotten files”. And this is not his first collaboration with the streaming platform.
This is the most watched series of the moment on Netflix, and we understand why. Since its launch on May 29, the forgotten files have been the top 10 and will be difficult to dislodge.
This series adaptation of the excellent literary saga of the Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen follows Carl Mork, a brilliant policeman, but not easy to live according to his colleagues. His sharp sarcasm has earned him many troubles in the Edinburgh police. After a shooting that cost a young agent life and paralyzed his partner, he finds himself exiled in the basement and the only member of the Q department, a newly created unit to resolve unresolved cases.
Change of register for Matthew Good
Matthew Good was chosen by the Showrunner Scott Frank to slip into the shoes of this silent but resilient investigator. A face that British cinema and series lovers know rather well. The actor of 47 has indeed played in two large productions of the small screen, visible on Netflix: Downtown Abbey and The Crown. He joined the distribution of the very chic Downtown Abbey from season 5 where he slips into the costume of Henry Talbot, the nephew of Lady Shackleton.
But if you want to find Goode in another role, we advise you to throw yourself on season 1 of The Crown (noted 4.3 out of 5), which became interested for 6 seasons in the life of the British royal family.

The actor appears in the second season when he takes the features of Antony Armstrong-Jones, a photographer who crosses the road to Princess Margaret (played by Vanessa Kirby), the sister of Queen Elisabeth. These last two ended up marrying in 1960, before separating in 1978.
Blond and beardless face complexion, Matthew Goode charmed spectators as much as Vanessa Kirby in season 2 of The Crown. He was replaced at the end of season 3 by Ben Daniels who camps a more violent Armstrong-Jones.
The actor excels in any case in the three roles mentioned but in forgotten files, he proves that he can also be excellent in drama as in black humor. To see on Netflix!
