Flash (s) on France 2: “We had the impression that we became crazy!”, Marie Denarnaud recounts this strange event occurring during the shooting

Good news, France 2 broadcasts this evening from 9:10 p.m. the second TV movie from the Flash (s) collection, with Miou-Miou and Marie Denarnaud. The latter (which appears in parallel in HPI season 5 on TF1) answered the questions of Allociné about this experience …

Allociné: You are back in the second telefilm of “Flash (s)”. What do you like about participating in this project?

Marie Denarnaud: Miou-Miou is first of all an attractive phenomenal force for someone like me. She has a wonderful level of work, she is a woman I love and a truly singular and demanding partner. Also, I really like the place where Claire's mediumship takes us because it brings symbolism.

We are invaded by police series and the public, obviously, loves it. The fact that there is in flash (s) this singularity allows to speak of the unconscious, I find, and the strange. This unconscious is a huge part of ourselves that we do not discuss that much. I like it a lot.

This component leaves more room for humor. What do you think?

This second part was very precise in writing and there is both an investigation that I find quite incredible and, indeed, more humor. The authors were also able to dig characters and their relationships. The team is anchored in its diversity. There is something that I find more fine, subtle and perhaps deeper.

Where is Mathilde, your character, when we find her?

Mathilde and her mother found themselves in a way at the end of the first part. They still managed to save a little girl together! My character has therefore evolved. She had a second child, it is something that makes a woman, a family life, a home, etc. move, etc. She also accepted things that she did not accept before her mother. She calmed down in relation to her donation. She even accepted that it could help her in her cop work, which is huge!

And then, Patatras, the gift jumped a generation and was transmitted to his daughter … There will therefore be a very strong tension and a state of panic again in Mathilde, to the idea that her child has the same gift. She fears that her mother is using it and maybe handling it. All these events will plunge her back into the abyss and in dread …

Why did the gift jumped a generation according to you?

Perhaps the transmission of mother's donation into a daughter is not obvious or perhaps it is not something that she herself has exploited. I have a very close Brazilian friend and her aunt, who is a large medium quite recognized there, always told her that she had this same gift but that she did not work it. Now, it was, according to her, something that worked and that the fact that she did not work it made for the gift “asleep”. This may be the case of Mathilde, maybe it is something she refuses and that suddenly does not grow …

Do you believe in reality?

I really believe that there are things that we perceive without understanding them. There are situations that move us without we understand them, for example. Is it because it brings us back to past things? Is it because the places have an energy memory? In any case, I think that the first degree does not exist. I think it's not just what we see and I live it. I feel it very strongly.

Do you keep a striking memory of this filming of “Flash (s)”?

We have filmed in fairly incredible places, especially in a former psychiatric hospital in the north of France. The actress who plays the character of Audrey Beau-Manoir and I were in this place where we were shooting the prison scenes. At one point, we had a laugh because we had the impression that we were becoming crazy too: there was a room near us in which we felt to hear voices of people who had been interned there! It was probably just a room that had not been completely evacuated but all of a sudden, we had the same feeling together (laughs)

If the success is still there, what will be the continuation on the audience?

I don't think it will become a series for lots of writing reasons. And then, Miou-Miou is quite asked and is not necessarily someone who works on large periods in terms of duration. Afterwards, these are production stories, programming … I know nothing about this. We are never so aware of all this by the way.

Will the second telefilm have the same success as the first and a decision will a decision for a third? I hope that the public will be delighted in any case because I find that there is a progression and that it would be interesting to see what a third or a fourth part would give.
