Everything for the light: “I am honored to take up this song”, the confidences of Clément Massy (Eden) on this huge tube which he performs in the series

Everything for light is now available on Netflix! After several months of absence, four episodes of this daily event can be found on the famous platform. On the occasion of the launch of the soap opera, the writing of Allociné had the opportunity to go to the set and go to meet Clément Massy.

Defer of season 13 of The Voice, the young man, who lends his features to the character of Eden, confided in his first steps in comedy and on the song, written the story of Grégory Lemarchal, whom he takes up in the series.

Allociné: What seduced you in this project?

Clément Massy (Eden): I embarked on this project, because I was called to tell me that we had a character for me. Apparently, the character looked like me: he is someone who composed, who writes and who is a pianist, a guitarist and who makes percussion. It is an almost total instrumentalist and that is what seduced me.

I have always wanted to develop my actor side. Until now, I have been studying to be interior designer in Paris and I was caught up in my passion for music that I have always practiced. I started by doing season 13 of The Voice and then I was offered everything for the light. All this is quite recent for me!

What can you tell us about the character of Eden that you play?

I enjoy the character of Eden. It is a super soft guy who supports his friends thoroughly. This is something that is super pleasant to play. There is something that is very solar at home and yet it will come to be offset, because we see it, it happens a lot for Eden very early in the series. This character is a virgin score. That is to say that we can do everything and that there is a lot of freedom with him. That's just great.

How is collaboration with Gilles Cohen who plays Joël, your fictional father?

It's crazy. It's a bit impressive to take a lightning look from Gilles when you play together. There are also hard scenes between father and son. I had forgotten everything he had done before, and in particular his role in the legends office. It's great and great to play with him.

These actors, who have so many bottles, give us advice. It's just super enriching for a young actor like me. I know that in music, I start to touch my ball a little and I know what I do, but acting is still something very new.

So you take your first steps as an actor, but also your first steps in a daily series. How do you manage the rhythm of filming which is often frantic?

We are not going to lie, the pace is crazy. Generally, there are seven sequences per day. In any case, when the days are full, we are at this rate. Sometimes we know that we are going to have a hyper intense sequence.

And sometimes there are extreme sequences in which there is game, staging, a specific realization which require extreme cases and to seek things deep within oneself.

I never thought of doing something like that. It even surprised me when I discovered Eden's arches a little and learned what happened to him and what I was going to have to play. It's super rich. But, being surrounded by actors who absolutely know what they are doing is very reassuring because it allows for freedom, to launch things and to know that we will be caught in front.

Are you preparing for notoriety that will potentially arrive at the dissemination?

I try not to think about it in the sense that I am a rather earth on earth. Even The Voice, it didn't change anything for me. A little on the internet, but it's still the networks. If it works, it's great. If it affects people, it's even better.

In any case, I feel lucky. I had already been handed for the first time for The Voice and I almost went to the end. And there, there is something very gratifying when we are reaching a second hand.

You also sing a tube of Grégory Lemarchal, write history …

I was entrusted with a monument of French song with written the story. It is already an honor! It was my sister's favorite song when she was little, so I heard her thousands of times. And when I was told about doing it, it obviously touched me. Especially since what Envéné seeks to do is to write his story.

The lyrics are so much in line with what he lives. He does not know what is expected of him, this kid. That's what Grégory sang! There could be a risky parallel but I am honored to be offered to me.
