Since June 16 on TF1, “Everything for Light” has paced the daily life of viewers by plunging them behind the scenes of a singing and dance school located in La Ciotat. But where was this new series really?

Singing, dance, family secrets and twists and turns, all the ingredients are gathered to make everything for light a success. This ambitious program, which walks in the footsteps of Glee, one, back, very and famous, was born from a collaboration between TF1 and Netflix.
A shooting between La Ciotat and Marseille
We follow Victoria Vargas, former song star who placed music twenty years earlier, despite the success. When her mother is the victim of an accident, our heroine is forced to return to her hometown and to the school that formed her, the Light studio.
This building is a real full -fledged character in the series, like the Ciotat, where the intrigue takes place. This seaside town located in the Bouches-du-Rhône hosts the filming of everything for light, at least for the outdoor scenes. The indoor scenes are filmed at the Studios de la Belle de Mai, in Marseille.

The Light Studio, epicenter of the series
The light studio does not really exist, but the decor that houses it has a long history. The scenes located in the entrance hall, as well as those in front of the studio facade, were shot in the Light hall, a building built in 1895, which housed the old covered market in the Ciotat.
He was then transformed to become from 1913 to 2023 a cinema of three rooms, the Light, thus named in homage of course to the Lumière brothers. Since then, the building has been renovated to be converted into a decoration. Its Eiffel type metal structure has inspired all the other sets made for the series.
Discover the other emblematic sets of the series, in the company of Martin Berléand, the director of production.
Broadcast from Monday to Friday at 6 p.m. on TF1, everything for light is also available on Netflix, one episode per day from Wednesday to Sunday.
