Back on a small replica which often goes unnoticed in “Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra”, but that real fans are able to replace properly in many conversations.
“No palaces … no palace.” “You know? I don't think there is a good or bad situation.” “The lion does not associate with the cockroach.” “It's too calm. I don't like it too much.” “This tomb will be your tomb.” “Come tell me in profile if you're a man!”
Dozens of mythical punchlines
We could continue like this for a long time. If you are a fan of Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, directed by Alain Chabat in 2002, you have undoubtedly recognized each of these aftershocks. You are probably able to specify which characters are pronounced and in what context.
Noted 4.1 out of 5 stars and rightly considered one of the funniest comedies in French cinema, the second adventure in real shots of the famous little Gauls is a true classic of hexagonal pop culture, and therefore conceals an incalculable number of mythical punchlines.

Pathe
“I am a tiler”
Even if we often tend to bring out the 4 or 5 same little sentences, Mission Cleopatra is a treasure of cult replicas even more abundant than some spectators suspect. Only the biggest fans of the Chabat film are capable of diving into this unfathomable safe, and occasionally emerge from rare nuggets in order to replace them in the appropriate conversation.
One of these little treasures, which often goes unnoticed, is at the very beginning of the feature film, in the scene where we get to know Numberbis (Jamel Debbouze). Just before he arrives, Malococsis (Jean Beguigui) burst into the site and attacks the Ledartifis tile (Zinedine Soualem), accusing him of having laid the tiles of his house before the installation of water evacuations.
Imperturbable and phlegmatic, totally devoted to his task (but to his task only), the latter then responds to him with this implacable little sentence:
“Ah, Monsieur Malococsis, I am not an architect, I am a tiler. I am told to tile, I Carrèle. I am told not to tile, I Carrèle not.”

A little sentence to come out every day
It may not be like that, but beyond its comic effect guaranteed in the scene, this punchline is adaptable to many situations of daily life. Similar reference that only initiates will be able to identify, it could allow you to intervene with humor in many cases.
Do you want to clear any responsibility on a file whose ins and outs do not master? Do you want to avoid getting involved in a debate that goes beyond you and prefer to stick to your simple skills? You have perfectly completed your share of the contract, and you must however explain to your boss why the expected result was not obtained?
Remember the wisdom of Feudartifis! Are you a tiler? Did you ask you to tile? You tiled. And the discussion stops there.
What are the replicas of Mission Cleopatra that you most often come out in everyday life?
