Will the shooting of the series “Tomb Raider” start soon? According to the latest rumors, this summer may well be good!
The shooting of the Tomb Raider series by Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Video Prime would be about to start: estimate in late July/early August in London, according to Geek Vibes Nation.
In January 2023, we learned that the famous British screenwriter and winner of an Emmy, Phoebe Waller-Bridgehad been hired to write and produce the series for Amazon, as part of its several million dollars contract with the streaming service.
The show should follow the famous character, archaeologist and adventurer, Lara Croft. Few news was then disclosed, in addition to the fact that Sophie Turner, former Sansa of Game of Thrones, would be the favorite to embody the heroine.
As Dark Horizons reminds us last April, the British tabloids even announced that the project was dead, the series having passed by “Two screenwriters' rooms and cost tens of millions of dollars in development”.
A few weeks later, however, these rumors of cancellation appeared premature, while a photo of Sophie Turner Displaying dream abs during his vacation has been talked about a lot.
However, it is important to note that Prime Video has not yet officially made a comment on the series, nor on its casting or its production. This remains a rumor for the moment, a rumor that comes on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the 2001 film, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, with Angelina Jolie, Daniel Craig and Iain Glen, whose trailer recalls the 1990s, as you can see on the sidelines of this article.
While waiting to learn more about the next series, the 2001 film is to be reviewed on Netflix.
