Dumb and Dumber tells the story of two friends leaving in search of a woman seeming to have forgotten her suitcase at the airport, and who then find themselves in the center of a conspiracy and a ransom story.

Dumb and Dumber marks the first delusional collaboration of the Bobby and Peter Farrelly brothers with the actor Jim Carrey. The three men will meet six years later for the no less crazy crazy about Irene, in which Carrey plays this time the role of a schizophrenic policeman.
Love at first sight on a shoot
Dumb and Dumber was not only a great public success for Jim Carrey. He also experienced love on the set. Lauren Holly, the female heroine of the feature film, would indeed become her partner in the city.
An animated version
The Bobby and Peter Farrelly brothers were contacted by TV productions following Dumb and Dumber. The filmmakers indeed officiated as consultants on the animated version of their comedy, a cartoon scheduled during the 1995-1996 season and broadcast in France on the Cartoon Network cable channel.
