It was yesterday the birthday of Morgan Freeman who celebrated his 88th birthday. The opportunity to offer you this quiz returning to his long filmography with ten of his films to recognize!
Morgan Freeman was born on June 1, 1937 in Memphis in Tennessee, but he spent his youth and grew up in Mississippi, raised by his paternal grandmother with his three brothers and sisters. He discovered the theater very early at the age of ten, but will initially commit his high school diploma in his pocket, in the United States Air Force, working there as a mechanic and secretary shorts.
It was not until 1964, once his military obligations have been completed, that he headed again to the artistic universe, and settled in California to become an actor, and studies for this dance and dramatic art.
He quickly won his leading roles in the theater and in TV series, but it was not much later that he will start to make a name for himself in the world of cinema, in particular thanks to his role in the street in 1987 which will earn him many awards as well as nominations with Golden Globes and Oscars.
A glorious decade
After the recognition of the profession, that of the public will be largely acquired three years later thanks to the film Miss Daisy and her driver by Bruce Beresford. He will then chain during the decade 90 the successes, becoming in turn companion of Robin des Bois in the film of Kevin Reynolds, judge in the pyre of the vanities of Brian de Palma, prisoner in the Evadés of Frank Darabont, detective alongside Brad Pitt in the Seven of David Fincher, or President of the United States in Deep Impact.
He will then continue to multiply the roles participating in particular in two successful franchises, the Batman trilogy Christopher Nolan, and elusive, whose release of the third part is expected for next November.
