More than two years after his first appearance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Riri Williams is back in Ironheart, available from June 25. And the first images announce a series as exciting as it is intriguing!
The comeback of a genius in the making
Appeared for the first time in the second opus of the Black Panther saga, Wakanda Forever (2022), Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) is a young woman as well as determined. Student at the MIT, Riri walks in the footsteps such as Tony Starks and shares with the famous inventor genius for robotics … but also unorthodox working methods! His goal? Mark the world with its inventions in order to become a real icon of the genre.
Riri's meeting with a man named Parker Robbins, who seems very interested in the latter's work, will place the young woman in a particularly deep dilemma: how far is she ready to go to see her projects materialize?
Available exclusively on Disney+ from June 25, the Marvel Ironheart series will plunge spectators into the tumultuous life of the young inventor and ally of Black Panther (Laetitia Wright), a true spiritual heiress of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), undermined in his beliefs by his meeting with Parker Robbins, as the aficionados of The Marvel stable know rather under its pseudonym of The Hood. If the role will be camped by Anthony Ramos, known for his role in Hamilton, the casting will also count … The great Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat), who will play a character still unknown!
The first images, revealed in recent months, promise spectacular and twirling action scenes, Riri sporting his impressive armor of Ironheart, but also an unprecedented psychological exploration of the eponymous character. Will the latter be present alongside her Wakandian allies in Avengers: Doomsday? We will have to wait until the end of the Ironheart series to hope to find an answer!
