The release date of one of his next films has just been unveiled. The Bojarski affair will be released on January 14, 2026.

This film directed by Jean-Paul Salomé should allow us to discover Pierre Lottin in a fairly different register. With Reda Kateb (main role), but also Sara Giraudeau, Bastien Bouillon or Quentin Dolmaire, the actor embodies one of the protagonists of this story inspired by real facts.

A story inspired by real facts

The pitch presents itself as follows: Jan Bojarski (Reda Kateb), a young Polish refugee, becomes in the post-war France the greatest false monnant of all time, the “Cézanne de la Demier”. How this man will lead a double life for more than fifteen years without his family by making alone in a shed at the bottom of his garden more “real” counterfeits than tickets out of the Banque de France…

How during all these years, this outstanding counterfeiter will succeed in avoiding falling into the police nets and will become the bane of Commissioner Mattei during a hunt which, for these two obsessive, will turn to the duel.

For the record, Jean-Paul Salomé previously staged the historical film, the Women of the Shadow, or even Belphegor. More recently, the filmmaker produced the trade unionist and the Daronne. The scenario is co-written by Jean-Paul Salomé and Bastien Daret, according to an original idea by Marie-Pierre Huster.

The shooting took place at the start of the year, until the beginning of March 2025, in Paris and in the Paris region, in Vichy and Lyon.
