A new Papel Casa on Netflix? The first images of the next explosive Spanish series

A new Papel Casa to come on Netflix? This is what the images of the new series of Álex Pina suggest, which continues its collaboration with the platform after Sky Rojo, the Casa de Papel and its Berlin spin-off.

Netflix unveiled a first teaser from El Refugio Atómico (which could be translated as “the nuclear shelter” or “the atomic refuge”), by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, with whom he imagined his three biggest successes.

Shot in 2024, this new series recounts the complex survival of a group of multimillionaire refugees in a luxury bunker, called Kimera Underground Park, while the third world war is about to burst.

It is since this bunker that they will follow, on screens, in a confusing show, the collapse of the world they have known. And while outside the situation will become more and more terrifying, they will enjoy their small private town with basketball court, restaurant, Zen garden, cocktail bar, shrink, gym and spa.

This is what their mythical privileged status will be reduced: to learn to live in a luxury burrow, in an underground universe full of puzzles where the accounts suffering from two families pierced by an injury from the past will end up.

Produced by Vancouver Media and intended for an exclusive broadcast on Netflix, El Refugio Atómico is a series of eight episodes of an hour each written by Álex Pina, Esther Martínez Lobato, David Barrocal, David Oliva, Lorena G. Maldonado and Humberto Ortega.
