Last year, Chuck Norris returned to the screen after more than 10 years of absence – without making noise. “Recognized agent”, the action and science fiction film in which he played, was released online in June 2024 and is still unprecedented in France.
You have to go back to 2012 to find Chuck Norris in a film, with Expendables 2. Since then, he had been very discreet. But last year, after more than a decade far from the sets, the emblematic actor of Walker, Texas Ranger returned in all discretion in front of the cameras for the action film and military fictional agent recogn. While Deadline had announced the end of the production of the project in 2023, the feature film was released, almost incognito, online on June 21, 2024. In France, we are still waiting for it.
It is alongside the science fiction specialist Marc Singer-known in particular for the cult mini-series V: visitors-and Derek Ting, who ensured both writing and realization that Chuck Norris made his return. All three held the main roles of the project.
What is it talking about?
Scenario side, Recognized agent tells the story of Commander Alastair (Norris), at the head of a secret unit specialized in terrestrial security, who recruits Jim (Ting), a young man with extraordinary powers, for a mission led by Colonel Green (Singer) and his experienced marines. Their objective: to investigate a strange energy disturbance detected in a new-mexic base, supposed to conduct research on extraterrestrial technologies.
But when the team faces an unknown entity, not only incredibly rapid and powerful, but also capable of controlling soldiers devoid of will, they must fight against invincible hordes to unravel the mystery of this alien fortress and save the humanity of extinction.

A legend of return to the greatest silence

From Expendable 2,, Chuck Norris was rare on the screen: we briefly heard in an episode of the Goldberg series, and it appeared unexpectedly in Hawaii Five-0 in 2020. We will find him in the next action and horror comedy, Zombie Plane, alongside Vanilla Ice, which could well be his last film … In the meantime, we don't know if Recognized agent will one day be available from us.
