A cult series of science fiction, “Stargate SG-1” made fans happy between 1997 and 2007. What becomes of one of its main actors, Christopher Judge, who interpreted Teal'c?
In 1997, a science fiction series landed on the small screen, revolutionizing the genre: Stargate SG-1! Following the cult film released in 1994, she still followed Colonel Jack O'Neill in her adventures through the galaxy, accompanied by her team, Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson and Teal'c.
Who is Teal'c?
These characters were embodied by Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Christopher Judge. The latter therefore slipped into the Teal'C costume. It is a jaffa in the Apophis service, a Goa'uld, the extraterrestrial enemies of the Stargate universe. In the first episode, he is the prima of Apophis and then betrays him to help SG-1 before joining the exploration team.
The character marked the spirit of the fans because he is both stoic, loyal and deeply honorable. Teal'c speaks little, but his words are often full of wisdom. He keeps his emotions for him, which can make him look cold or distant, especially at the beginning. Its calm is almost unshakable, even in crisis situations.
Once he chooses to join SG-1, Teal'c is unwaveringly loyal to his teammates, in particular towards Jack O'Neill, whom he deeply respects. He is ready to risk his life for them on numerous occasions. The fans loved this character that is both charismatic and often very funny in spite of himself.

What becomes of Christopher Judge?
His interpreter, Christopher Judge, played this role during the 10 seasons of the series and the two derivative films, continuum and the ark of truth. After this striking experience in one of the biggest television-fiction series on television, the actor finds a small role in The Dark Knight Rises then Nanars like Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark (2014) or Sharknado 3 (2015).
In 2018, the actor bounces by giving voice in another legendary saga: God of War! He performs vocally the main character of the game, Kratos, who will become legendary for players around the world. The phenomenal success of the game will give rise to a suite, Ragnarök, released in 2022. His performance was greeted, winning the price for the best performance at the Game Awards 2022.
In parallel, Christopher Judge will also appear in 6 episodes of the series The Guardians of Justice. Unfortunately, he will not find roles as powerful and important as Teal'c on television.
However, he often participates in conventions around Stargate SG1, such as the Supanova Comic Con & Gaming in Australia, where he meets his fans and shares his experience in the industry. In addition, the actor actively invests in promoting diversity in science fiction and fantasy genres. Christopher Judge has been married to Gianna Patton since 2011 and he is the father of four children.
