Prime Video has found the right vein in recent years by producing films and series derived from successful romantic literary sagas. And “off campus” is one of them!
Since the success of the summer when I have become pretty, adaptation of the successful literary trilogy of Jenny Han, Prime Video has multiplied identical projects. Like Maxton Hall, centered on the sulphurous love story between Ruby Bell and James Beaufort. In terms of films, the platform bet on the Saga against the Spanish Mercedes Ron, which paved the way for an English remake at the end of last year.
Off-campus, the next premium video card?
We were half astonished by learning last October that Prime Video had bought the adaptation rights on the literary saga phenomenon “off campus”. The first opus, written in 2015 by her Kennedy, met with unprecedented success.
The latter has since been presented as the queen of “New Romance”, a particularly popular sub-genre since it also includes particularly explicit sex scenes. Translated into 27 languages, the “Off Campus” saga was sold in more than 10 million copies worldwide and the release of the series next year on Prime may well revive sales.
What will the first season of Off Campus be talking about?
Off Campus is made up of 5 volumes – The Deal (2015), The Mistake (2015), The Score (2016), The Goal (2016) and The Legacy (2021) – each followed by a different couple within the Fictive University of Briar.
It is volume 1 which will be adapted in the first season of the Prime Video series: it will follow the story of Hannah, a very good student, who also excels in singing and who takes an agreement with a member of the university hockey team: she provides him to go up his average, and in exchange, he helps him to seduce the star player of the basketball team…
If success is there, season 2 will be interested in a new couple.
What are the actors who will play in Off Campus?
Prime Video has bet on low identified talents but whose career could take off with the success of Off Campus. In particular these two stars – Ella Bright (Holmes and Watson) and Belmont Cameli (The Alto Knights). Josh Heuston, seen in Dune Prophecy, was chosen to play Justin, the famous basketball player that heroin wishes to seduce.

The shooting of season 1 of Off Campus has just started on the other side of the Atlantic, for a planned launch during 2026 on Prime Video.
